Our History

New York Catholic Radio, Inc. is a non-profit organization incorporated in the State of New York whose purpose is to provide Catholic radio programming to the greater Poughkeepsie, New York region. In addition to providing Catholic educational content, we will also present local music, sports, and cultural programming not being offered by other media outlets.

Following the 2013 announcement from the Federal Communications Commission that it was opening a window for non-profit agencies to apply for Low Power Frequency Modulation radio stations, New York Catholic Radio, Inc. was founded in November 2013. We received our LPFM radio station permit April 10, 2014 and have three years from that date to construct a radio station and receive our broadcast license. New York Catholic Radio, Inc. is also a proud member of Catholic Radio Association.
